NEW YORK CITY
December 3 & 4, 2016
Leaders in NYC’s child welfare field, tech sector, government, non-profits, and other agents of change came together to “hack” NYC foster care system’s most pressing challenges with the goal of improving the lives of 9,000 children & youth along with foster parents, and social workers.
The NYC Foster Care Technology & Policy Hackathon was a two-day event @ eBay New York, focused on developing innovative tech solutions like smartphone apps, social networking tools, and engaging digital resources. At the same time, youth took the lead and identified ways to transform foster care policies.
